Websites Do The Talking
The Yellow Pages used to boast, "Let your fingers do the walking." Now it's a case of let your website do the talking.
It is no longer necessary to have a receptionist field the calls of potential customers, a good website can handle that for you at any time of day and night! How cool is that? But..... are we making the most of it?
Let Social Media Drive Them
Social Media marketing is a waste, really, if you don't have a good website to send traffic to. It is just another tool that needs to work in collaboration with the whole of your business systems.
So, if you don't have a good functional website, that should be your second priority.
Know Your Target Market
Your first priority is to know your target market intimately, because without that direction, all else will fall down.

We all want to work smarter not harder and the world wide web has enabled us to do just that. But..... are we making the most of it?
The Right Information
Does your website have enough of the right information that a potential customer knows exactly what you offer and exactly what they want? If the answer is yes, great!
That means that when the customer is ready to buy from you there is no need to spend time on the phone converting them to a sale.
Instead you can spend that precious time taking their credit card details (that is, of course, if you don't have the facility to book or buy online) and delivering the personal touch!
Web Logs = Blogs
One of the most important functions on your website, IMO (in my opinion!) would have to be the blog.
The whys and hows is best left to a whole other article on that subject in the future, so stay tuned!
Budgeting in 2015
So to wrap up, when you are doing your budgets for 2015, make sure that your website and social media channels have a substantial $ value and a healthy human resource element attached, or you will be behind the 8 ball straight up.
